A Safe Trip for Bolin and Me

Hey everyone,

I would never have dreamed of making this if I didn’t feel it were truly necessary. In two months, I’ll be moving a thousand miles across the country to get my first apartment with my boyfriend. I’ve been budgeting this move for months while working full time, and I genuinely have everything planned out.

The issue arises with my cat, Bolin. He’s my emotional support animal, and the only piece of me I truly need to bring across country. He’s a very big kitty (15 pounds) and after significant research, he’s not going to be able to fly on a plane with me. This has left me with my only viable option to be to drive, which is where my ask begins.

My family is entirely unable to help me with this move. I do not own a car, nor can I drive due to significant disabilities I have. This leaves the only option being to fly my boyfriend across the country to me, and for us to rent a car for him to drive the three of us down.

At the cheapest, flights are between $200-$300 one way, and renting a car will run us almost an even $400. This ask isn’t including the hotels, food, or gas, but I’m confident I can budget those accordingly.

I truly cannot stay in my parents house any longer to try and delay this move, it’s very unhealthy for me, and my job is in jeopardy if I continue to rely on them. I won’t leave my baby behind no matter what, but I want to go into this move in as little debt as possible, so please know that every bit helps us.
