Help Tara Build a Safe, Accessible Space for Her Son Alex
Hi my name is Ciara and I am the owner/operator of the gym, Cifit Clondalkin.
Every Christmas, our CiFit community comes together to celebrate, to laugh, connect, and give thanks for the strength and joy we share all year round.
It’s always a night full of sparkle, empowerment, and giving back.
But this year, our hearts are leading us somewhere closer to home.
I have set this up on behalf of my trainer, Tara. Nobody deserves it more. Please read her story and support in any way you can.
Tara is a dedicated fitness trainer and the heart of our CiFit community.
Behind her bright energy and compassion lies a reality that few get to see.
Tara’s son, Alex, is a beautiful, funny, and resilient young boy with a complex disability. He uses a wheelchair, and as he grows, the daily routines of life getting dressed, bathing, moving around the house have become increasingly challenging.
What many of us take for granted, a shower, a staircase, a safe place to move freely requires immense effort, strength, and planning for Tara and Alex every single day.
Despite it all, Tara never complains.
She shows up for everyone else, even while quietly navigating exhaustion, worry, and love that knows no limits.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
Tara’s dream is to build a downstairs bathroom and sensory room for Alex, a space where he can move comfortably, feel safe, and maintain his dignity as he grows. This renovation will ease the physical strain on Tara and allow Alex the independence and quality of life he deserves.
This isn’t just about a home project.
It’s about giving a devoted mum and her son a chance to breathe easier, to feel supported, and to experience the joy of living in a space designed with their needs at heart.
We’re asking for your help to make this dream a reality, through donations, shares, or even helping spread the word. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring Tara and Alex one step closer to the comfort and accessibility they deserve.
Tara has spent years uplifting others. Now, together, we can uplift her.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story, for caring, and for helping us create a brighter, safer, more loving space for two truly special people.
✨ With love and gratitude,
The CiFit Community
