A Safe Haven for widows, orphans and less privileged

Donation protected
Hello everyone my name Juliet Bello, I started mission work 19 years ago when I was invited by a project to travel to Africa as a missions director and music minister in the eastern part of Nigeria. I was transformed by the renewing of my mind when I saw how poor people are suffering. I promised myself to help people live again. As the years went by I continued to follow missionaries to other parts of Africa, I also visited Liberia, Passed through Ghana. I started building a team to reach out to hundreds of people. I found out during my research that many Widows and Young People Are Suffering in Silence. Let’s Change That — Together. My project is called Anewlife Project.
ANEWLIFE PROJECT BIO:
Who We Are, We are a grassroot community organisation with a mission to restore dignity, rebuild lives, eradicate hate speech amongst our children and communities and to create lasting change. Born from compassion and sustained by action. Our work revolves around supporting vulnerable individuals - especially widows, orphans, youths, domestic abuse victims, children, ex-offenders, and the homeless - through a holistic approach that prioritises safety, empowerment, and healing to renew lives.
What We Do From offering refuge to women escaping domestic violence, to preparing hot daily meals in our community kitchen, our services are rooted in love, care and inclusivity.
We deliver vocational training, mental health counselling, and rehabilitation support, giving people the tools to rebuild their lives with confidence and hope. Our healthcare centre provides essential medical care for young people coming from the street to ensure they are healthy to get back into school or work.

Our Impact We’ve touched thousands of lives and helped save at-risk children by providing life-saving food and healthcare. We’ve supported ex-offenders in finding employment and empowered former street workers to start their own businesses.

Through our skills training programmes, individuals have gained access to stable jobs and brighter futures. We’ve also provided safe housing for those fleeing violence or experiencing homelessness. Additionally, we’ve empowered widows in underprivileged communities to launch small businesses, fostering independence and hope.

We believe no woman should face life alone after loss or hardship.
We believe no child and youth should be living under a bridge and forced to survive on the streets of Lagos.

We are raising  ₦134 million (£64,000) to build a residential facility — a permanent, loving home where widows and the less privileged can live, heal, learn, love and thrive.

We are Already Making an Impact
Our journey has already begun—with feeding programs, skills workshops, and emotional wellness support changing lives daily.

Together, we can build a lasting home. ❤️
Our Impact So Far:

We’ve impacted over 100 widows and families already. Their stories are proof that small acts of kindness can save lives.

In November 2024, Anewlife Project visited Alimosho General Hospital, delivering hampers for newborns and the maternity ward. Our efforts were acknowledged by the Lagos State Government with an appreciation letter, recognizing the importance of our work in
supporting vulnerable mothers and children.

During this mission trip, we rescued a pair of severely malnourished twins—11 months old but barely the size of a 2-month-old infant. Their mother tragically passed away during childbirth, leaving them in the care of their grandmother, who struggles to provide for them in
a single-room apartment. Since then, we have committed to sending monthly food supplies and ensuring they receive regular hospital checkups. Today, those twins are healthy, thriving,
and taking their first steps toward a brighter future. Here is a picture of the twin

We also welcomed a young man into the Anewlife Mission House—homeless, abused, and forced to leave home. With shelter, support, and encouragement, he gained employment and has since moved forward independently. Now, he volunteers with our youth programs, paying forward the kindness and stability he received.

These are just a few of the lives we’ve transformed, but there are so many more who need our help. Your support in building a mission house will provide shelter, healing, and
empowerment for over 100 people—giving them the chance to rebuild their lives with dignity.

A Widow’s Story:
After my husband died, I was left with nothing. I had nowhere to go. But Anewlife Project housed me and my children for six month, they gave us food, training, and hope again. I am now running a small business with the empowerment money given to me to start a business.

We have more success stories of youths who received help through Anewlife project skill projects.
