Let's Fund Mark's Casita - his little home on wheels
Mark Connors has been houseless for eight years, ever since a traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a motorcycle accident in 2017 drastically altered his life. Though he tried to work for a few years after, he gradually lost the ability to perform basic tasks, use a computer, or tolerate everyday environments due to sensory and cognitive challenges. A second accident in 2024 compounded his trauma, leaving him without his truck—his only shelter and source of independence. Mark has applied for disability multiple times, worked with vocational rehab, and sought help from local services, but has continuously fallen through the cracks.
Mark is deeply generous, a healer, a dog whisperer, and someone with a strong moral compass and a sharp sense of humor. But now, he needs us. What he needs most is a safe, consistent space to rest and care for himself—a modest, standalone home on wheels. The costs of food, gas, and managing finances have become overwhelming. Despite looking fine on the outside, Mark struggles deeply with anxiety, PTSD, and his TBI symptoms. Let’s come together to give back to someone who’s always shown up for others. Let’s help Mark get his Casita—a place to cook a meal, lock the door behind him, and finally feel safe.
