This story is told on behalf of our dear friend Bronwyn
Bronwyn has been a champion of enterprise and social justice and has spent a lifetime of work and passion to further the Arts, in the community and individual creativity.
Bronwyn was working in the Torres Strait, when the time came for retirement. Bronwyn chose the South Coast of NSW, near her daughter Emma and her two grandchildren. Bronwyn built a small home in a picturesque bush setting close to the sea. The building project was challenging.
Bronwyn has been no stranger to tragic life events. No sooner had Bronwyn got the keys to her new home when the Black Summer bushfires required her to evacuate. Bronwyn found herself in a traumatised community, and a devastated environment.
Then her daughter Emma died, leaving behind two children, a boy of 14 and girl of 11. Bronwyn immediately assumed the full time grand - parenting role. One of Emma’s children, a delightful boy with an autism diagnosis, is currently living in the lounge room of the 2-bedroom home.
We are raising funds to support Bronwyn and the children to build Justin a room of his own.
