Hello, I’m Karl. I live in a small Norfolk village called Aslacton, and I’m reaching out because our local church, St Michael’s, is in urgent need of help.

St Michael’s isn’t just a village church — it’s part of England’s story. With its rare 11th-century Saxon round tower and medieval additions, it has stood for almost a thousand years. Generations have marked life’s most important moments within its walls. It is a Grade I listed building, recognised nationally for its importance.

But today, it’s at risk. The vestry roof is leaking badly. If it isn’t replaced before winter, water will damage the historic timbers and plaster, threatening the very fabric of the building.

Why I’m asking for your help

I’m not a historian or a fundraiser — just a local who cares deeply about protecting something irreplaceable. This church has stood through wars, storms, and centuries of change. I don’t want to see it crumble now because we couldn’t act in time.
