Anthony’s Family - Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My husband and I are a family of five with our three beautiful children ages 8, 6, 4 are asking for help. On the morning of October 8th my husband suffered a seizure at home & was taken to the hospital, later to be airlifted to St. Anthony’s in Lakewood. He has been in and out of the ICU since that time with numerous complications including hematoma (unable to be drained), tracheostomy (intubation), became septic multiple times requiring an exploratory surgery, perforated colon, multiple internal abscesses that were antibiotic resistant, and multiple drains which all required many surgeries. Unfortunately he does not have short term disability at his job with United Airlines & long term disability will not take affect for six months. We had been fortunate, in that we were working different shifts so we were each able to be at home with our children & not utilize child care. Since he was hospitalized we have not only been down one income, I have now had to pay for child care in order to maintain my jobs and pay incoming bills on my own. At the insistence of family members & friends I’m setting up this go fund me page to help afford our house / car payments, utilities, insurance, child care, food & other everyday expenses until long term disability kicks. We have a long road ahead & the future at this time is unknown. I’m currently trying to figure out resources available to me which is taking a lot of time, time I’m finding I don’t have much of with three children & two jobs plus taking time out to make the hospital drive whenever possible. I understand times are tough for a lot of people right now, I truly never thought I would need such assistance. We sincerely appreciate anything that you can give & in the future when we are able to pay it forward we most certainly will.
