Hi my name is Maz, I am volunteering with BASA Rochdale in partnership with Muslim Charity to help remove young women and children from exploitation and trafficking in the Daulatdia region of Bangladesh.

From 20th January to 2nd February 2026, I will be travelling to Bangladesh with BASA Rochdale to volunteer with Muslim Charity on a critical anti - trafficking and exploitation mission.

The purpose of this trip is to directly help young women and children who are trapped in this negative environment of exploitation. Our work will focus on providing immediate safety and then offering a path to a new life through rehoming, education and employment opportunities. Every person we help remove from that environment is a life reclaimed and a future rewritten.

We will be using sport as a powerful tool of inclusion to bring together and identify the young women and children of the region who require the most urgent of help.

I'm aiming to raise a minimum of £1,250 to cover the cost of this mission and directly support the charity's vital long term programs on the ground in Bangladesh. Your donation will directly help provide safe shelter, schooling and vocational training.

A little bit about myself and why i wish to support this mission by volunteering:

I am a 41 year old father of 2 young children myself. A machinist by trade in the industrial sector. As a parent, as a uncle, as a person of good moral values I cannot stand by and not get involved in such a good cause. When asked by a friend to get involved, the opportunity to provide critical support to help change the lives of those who so desperately need it is a opportunity i have to take.

I aim to give 100% when on the ground in Bangladesh to make a difference working in partnership with Muslim Charity.
