I am looking for help for a friend. He has been mentally, emotionally, and physically abused most of their life. He continues to live with his abusive mother in a house that is, frankly, in unlivable condition. He has tried for years to take care of that house on his own, as his mother refuses to do anything. He barely has enough to eat because she seems to take the lion's share of the food. Due to his abuse he thinks everything bad that happens is his fault and has constant panic attacks over things going even slightly wrong.

He has been staying with us for the past week and have only now started to realize what a better life could be like away from their mother and that house; having good food to eat, fresh air to breath, and people that treat him like an actual human being.

On top of that, two weeks ago, he fell through a window, had to go to the ER, and the ER did a terrible job on him. He spent 4 ours bleeding out on a gurney before they stitched up, giving him not medication or antibiotics and just booted him out when they were done stitching him up with no way to get home. When he went to His personal care doctor, she was appalled by his treatment and later was afraid to even touch his stitches to remove them because of how bad the wound looked. That was right before Easter, and when visiting us for the holiday he ended up having to go to our ER and stay for three days while they had him on the strongest antibiotics possible. Now, our Hospital wants him staying close because they don't believe his local ER would give him the care needed to take care of the wound.

So, we are looking for funds to help get him out of his house and into a place closer to us to continue to get the help he needs to improve his health and life.
