A New Start for Joe Giarratano

On December 20, 2017, Joe Giarratano walked out of the Deerfield Correctional Center after being unjustly imprisoned for 38 years - including 11 years on Virginia's death row.  Now Joe is starting a new life in Charlottesville, Virginia, a life devoted to public service and helping other wrongfully convicted men and women.  After almost four decades in prison, Joe has few financial assets.  His friends and supporters have created this page to raise money and assist Joe in finding an apartment and purchasing clothing, furniture, and household items.   As a friend of Joe's, I'm taking a lead in this fundraising effort.  All money raised will be given to Joe.
