A New Start for Aaron
Donation protected
If you’ve met Aaron, you were probably drawn in by his infectious smile, sense of humor and warm sense of humanity. Aaron loves to be of help to everyone, especially people he loves. Over the first year of knowing Aaron, I learned that he had suffered two pulmonary embolisms. The first April 2019 and the second December 2021. The second embolism left him with severe nerve damage in his lower body and walking very far causes intense pain, even with medication. Prior to the embolism, Aaron had been a highly skilled Subaru mechanic and a single father. After the second embolism he was no longer able to perform his job. He has been living in his van which needs a new steering column and has a broken passenger side window. One of the tires needs to be replaced. Aaron is wanting a fresh start after feeling pummeled by life and was recently interviewed for a tiny home. If he gets in, he will need to move his van and will need some amenities for his new home. Aaron also needs physical therapy and easier access to healthcare to address his needs. It is my hope that Aaron will try to return to school for psychology or get involved with community outreach for the unhoused. According to Maslow humans can reach Self actualization when their basic needs are met and other things fall into place. I’d like to help give Aaron a leg up for a fresh start.
