Nathaniel R. Sanders Jr. (Nate) is a man that has undergone a transformation so dramatic that he's a walking example of the grace of God. Having been sentenced to decades in prison, he resolved -- long ago -- to begin making choices that have led to his becoming known as a pillar of the community as well as a trusted servant and leader for the many who've come to know him.
Nate has spent countless hours mentoring men while incarcerated. One of the ways he's been able to do this work is being a teachers assistant, rather than taking more lucrative jobs, his reward came through supporting those who needed a helping hand on their path of development.
Having been incarcerated for over 26 years, and soon to be 60, Nate is a perfect candidate for a "hand up", an investment in him is an investment in our communities.
Knowing he would never ask for help himself -- priding himself on being self-reliant, its time for us to invest in him. Nate's commitment to selfless service will only continue once he's released.
Our donations will allow Nate to focus on rebuilding his life without the extra weight of the hardships -- transportation, electronics, clothing, etc. -- that plague the individuals reintegrating back into our communities after decades in prison. Its time for Nate to receive the same support he's given countless others while never expecting anything in return.
