My dear friends and loved ones,
I am Mohammed Al-Nahal from Gaza, and I am 21 years old today. I write to you from a heart that suffers an indescribable pain. Many of you may not know what’s happening in Gaza, but life here has become an unbearable nightmare. I write to you in my weakest state. I am not just asking for donations, but I am pleading for hope and for a helping hand in these unbearable moments.
I am a heart patient, and my health deteriorates day by day due to the lack of proper medical care. The issue, however, is that I can't move my left hand because of a nerve condition as a result of the open heart surgery which I had few years ago. I desperately need physiotherapy. The doctors in Gaza are unable to provide the treatment I need, and the poor healthcare and living conditions add to my anxiety about my future.
Hospitals in Gaza are overcrowded and lack the resources to treat patients like me. I can't access the tests and treatments that are critical to my survival. I am living on the edge, fighting for my life every single day.
As for my family, we have faced unimaginable tragedies. My university was destroyed in the bombings. I was studying Information Technology, dreaming of a better future, but the war obliterated everything. Our homes were also destroyed, and now we live in a tent that offers no protection from the harsh winter cold or the relentless rains pouring over our heads. This tent has become our shelter, but it feels more like an open-air prison. My family of seven struggles to survive under these impossible conditions.
We are haunted day and night by fear. We never know when the next bomb will fall or what tomorrow might bring. This anxiety is worsened by the severe lack of basic necessities. Flour has disappeared from the markets, and food prices have skyrocketed to unaffordable levels—$300 for essential items. We cannot even afford bread, the basic sustenance we need to stay alive.
Our life in the tent is filled with insects and scorpions. With each passing day, it feels like a new war against the cold, the rain, and the harsh realities around us. Torrential rains flood our fragile shelter, leaving us exposed to the biting cold. Sometimes, we live in complete darkness, and other times, the relentless sound of bombings keeps us from sleeping.
Yet, even amidst this unimaginable suffering, we cling to hope. Every day, I wake up with renewed hope, despite the pain. We urgently need your help and support because we cannot survive these harsh conditions without you. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in our lives—$30, $50, $100—any amount can provide relief.
Your donation is not just money; it is hope. Your contributions will help secure the medicine I desperately need and ensure a dignified life for my family under these dire circumstances. They will provide us with food, clothing, and the daily essentials that have become almost impossible to obtain.
You are our hope. Please, do not hesitate to extend your hand to us. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward saving our lives. Together, we can make a difference. Here in Gaza, we need you more than ever before.
To everyone reading these words, your donation is more than just financial aid—it is a lifeline, a chance for survival. Here in Gaza, we are asking for just a little, but that little means everything to us. Every contribution represents renewed hope and a chance to keep living.
May God bless you all for your generosity and continuous support. Please help spread the word about our campaign through all possible means. With every share and call for help, we find renewed hope to carry on
