A New Home for Alora and Her Mom

I am creating this on behalf of mine and my mothers story..

My name is Alora and my mom Sara  -the daughter- I started caregiving for my mom in may of 2024 as I knew her health was declining- Late September 2024 she broke her hip and was stuck in the ICU where they were unable to stabilize her blood pressure and told us she was in the final stages of her autoimmune disease, Scleroderma and ultimately told us she was going to die.We then sent her home to be on in home hospice after a brief stint on hospital hospice. I had quit my job as an Older Adult Case Manager as I graduated with my Bachelors in Social work and knew I’d need to be helping my mom eventually so I got a job gaining knowledge preparing myself.  

From September 2024 until December 2024 I she was home, bed bound and I was caring for her.

I am creating this as we are finding ourselves having to relocate my disabled mom into my two bedroom (upstairs) apartment with myself and my boyfriend and our pets. 

This Gofundme will be used to assist with moving costs and help eventually with the cost of a down payment on a house so I can properly care for my mom.
