Yesterday, I was in the Dollar Store asking people for a dollar to help me buy some food since I hadn't eaten all day. I asked a lady named Adriana who was shopping, and she immediately nodded that she would and even asked if I needed something else, too. After she checked out, she even gave me another $10 to help out! When I asked her why she was so kind to help me, she shared with me that she was formerly homeless and had been in the same situation herself, and knew what it felt like to be in my spot.

Adriana said that in the past, she had to flee a domestic violence situation with her three children and was left with nothing. I then gave her $500 to reward her for her kindness, and she was shocked and said she couldn't take the money! After I convinced her to take it, I was able to share with her that Jesus loved her and pray with her. Adriana told me that even though she's employed and has a place for her family, she’s struggling staying afloat with bills and her car is consistently breaking down.

I say we come together and encourage Adriana and lift her up with support her and her three children, and show her God's goodness!
