Over the past few months, my life changed very quickly.

I made the difficult but necessary decision to leave an abusive marriage in order to protect myself and my children. This choice required us to abruptly move out of our home and start over with extremely little preparation. While the transition was challenging, my focus has always been on keeping my kids safe, loved, and emotionally grounded.

This major life shift happened during the holiday season. Despite the upheaval, I worked hard to give my children a Christmas that still felt normal and magical - something they deeply deserved during a time of massive and unexpected change. Doing so, alongside the unexpected costs of moving and reestablishing a household, placed a significant strain on my finances.

I’m grateful to share that we are now safely settled into a quadplex home in Dallas thanks to my loving community. This new space represents a fresh start for our family. I am INCREDIBLY proud of how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time, but rebuilding after leaving an abusive situation takes time, resources, and community support.

This fundraiser will help me cover emergency transition expenses, housing stability, and provide a small financial buffer as I continue rebuilding and creating a steady, healthy foundation for my children and myself.
