Funds are being collected by Judith Overmyer and her committee to paint a mural at the corner of Ewing and Miami St. honoring the impact that Riley High School has had over the years on the south side of South Bend. This 70' X 15' mural is being painted by David Blodgett, a local artist. The past and present are being represented to give pride and confidence in the future of both Riley High School and the South Side of South Bend. The mural will include significant views of the school, students, athletes and activities from the past. South Bend has set up a grant to share the cost of murals of this nature, and an application has been submitted. Funds will be used to pay the artist for his time, effort and materials, with some money being saved for the upkeep of this significant painting. Please help our committee accomplish this goal.
