A Mum & her 7 kids need your help!

My name is Becki and I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of our friend Chantelle who devastatingly lost her husband Ben and their 7 kids who lost their father on Friday 18/7/25.
Ben was my husband’s best mate, hard working, full of love, life, laughter, family and friends.
He would always drop anything to help anyone out, so now it is our turn.
This beautiful family has had life crushing moments thrown at them time and time again. One of the worst was losing everything they owned in the 2019 fires out at South Arm Bowraville.
The most devastating of all is Losing this Man, An adored Husband, A loving Father, Son, Nephew and A friend, what a friend he was.
Ben, who just turned 42 had his own lawn and maintenance business and was the sole provider for his family, so Chantelle could be a wonderful mum to their kids.
On Wednesday night 16/7/25 Ben was taken to hospital in severe pain to his lower chest/high abdomen. Chantelle got their oldest son to drive so she could monitor Ben on the way in, which meant they had to leave the kids at home with their teenage daughter.
By the time they got to the hospital, Ben had a pain in his arm, blurred vision and one leg had gone numb…
Their son rushed in to ask for help, to get him out of the car, staff were rude and said “Can’t you get your dad out of the car”, he said “no I can’t”, so an annoyed staff member came out with a wheelchair and an attitude like she had more important things to do.
Once he was admitted, Chantelle had to race back home to their children. So she wasn’t able to be there with Ben.
The hospital staff spoke to and treated Ben appallingly, they gave him really heavy painkillers, tested urine and blood and were going to do an xray but decided not to, said he was dehydrated and sent him home with panadine forte for his severe pain.
Not able to move the next day and bed ridden in so much pain, Chantelle suggested to take him back to hospital, but he didn’t want to be sent home again.
He said he would see how he was in the morning, but that morning never came for Ben.
We are still unsure of the Cause at this time.
This family is truly broken and their only wish is to bring him back, but if we can’t fulfill their wish at least we can take away some of the financial burden, so they can figure out their next step and be able to grieve without all the extra stress.
Please help this beautiful family as big or as little as you can.
Please share.
