A Mother's Plea for Help with Van Repairs

Hi, my name is Emily. I am a married mother of 5 small children, ranging from 11 to newborn. I am a single-income home, and I'm doing my best working full-time, taking any overtime I can, and raising 5 amazing kiddos. I purchased my van from a used car dealership, being blindly told by the salesman that the car was perfect and had been completely gone through. At the time, I was pregnant with baby #5, which is why I bought the van—I needed the space for my beautiful growing family. My daughter has since been born, and I am in absolute desperate need of my van. Today, I took my car in for a strange light and was told by the mechanic that the engine is dead. I was absolutely devastated. I began to cry when the man told me how much it would be to fix it. This is my family vehicle; this is our lifeline to live, work, school, and complete our everyday tasks. I am reaching out to anyone with a heart that can possibly help pay the cost for the repairs—I can't afford it, and my kiddos and I desperately need help. I have worked so hard to save for this van, those nights, days, and hours I spent away from my family—my kids' events I had to miss to save for this van. I am heartbroken.
