A Mother's Fight to Stay with Her Son
Donation protected
Hello I’m an undocumented immigrant who’s been in this country since I was 8 years old. I came here with my mom and she abandoned me when I was 16. I had my son at 18 and I’m 33 years old now. I don’t have any family here or in the country I was born in. I have never been there since I came to the US. I don’t even have a passport from there. I was only able to get identification when California passed AB60 for undocumented people to get a drivers license. I was homeless since I was abandoned it was impossible to work or go to school. I was only able to get a home and an income since I started driving. I started to do ride share and food delivery. I pet sit and dog walk. I also clean houses.
I’m finally in a good stable home. And able to provide the best I can for my son and I. But now my life is in danger. I was safe in California because it was a sanctuary city. I’m afraid I might get taken away from my son. To a county I know nothing about. I have no family here or the county I was born in. I can’t leave my house or work because am afraid I can get taken away and my son won’t have anyone to take care of him. This is a really scary situation for us now.
Im asking for donations to help get me a lawyer so if anything happens to me I can be able to come back home to my son. All he has is me and if I’m gone to a place I know nothing about he has nobody. I tried to find a pro bono lawyer but nobody was able to help me.
i would like to stay anonymous until a lawyer says it’s ok.
