Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read our story. My name is Becky. I’m second to the oldest.

Our incredible mother, Peggy Cummings, just celebrated her 69th birthday, but this milestone came with devastating news: a diagnosis of Stage III, possibly Stage IV, Small Cell Carcinoma. We will know this week which of the two.

Mama is the heart of our family. She is a dedicated mother to five children, a loving grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. For the first time since she was a teenager, this devastating diagnosis has forced her to stop working. She has spent her entire life working hard, providing for her family, and giving generously to others. Now, she is the one who needs our help.

The Immediate Crisis

Mama has been out of work for over a month and is struggling both financially and physically. While we have applied for disability, the process is long, and we do not know when the payments will begin. She is currently unable to pay her monthly bills including her medical expenses and the financial stress is a massive burden on top of her physical fight.

Despite this overwhelming situation, our mama has remained incredibly strong and positive. But we, her children, want to lift this financial weight off her shoulders entirely so she can direct all her energy toward the battle ahead.

Our Plan: A Holistic Approach to Healing

As a family, we are not ready or willing to give up. While her doctors have presented chemotherapy as the primary treatment option, Mama is reluctant to take it. We are dedicated to finding and pursuing every possible avenue to slow down or even heal her.

We are currently researching and planning a comprehensive holistic treatment approach that we believe, with the Lord's guidance, can offer her the best chance at a prolonged and high quality of life. This path includes specialized diets, supplements, and alternative therapies that are not covered by insurance.
