A missionary to Nadezhda

Hello! We are Sarah, Rosie, Ellie and Keely (sisters). We are joining a missionary to Bulgaria in May 2025. A small area called Nadezhda, 20 minutes from the airport is our destination. The population of 33,000 desperately need help. Entirely forgotten and ignored by their government, they have very little (if any) essentials. The town is next to a dump that the children scour for metal to sell. They are this desperate and we feel we can help! Our self funded trip is to take as much clothing, shoes and food as we can carry. We are asking for financial help from friends and family to cover the logistical cost of the aid we want to take. We have paid for our flights, accom, a van and anything else that crops up! Charity does and always will start at home for us, but seeing these children without even the basics is impossible to ignore. In a very small way, we hope to make a difference.

Thank you so much in advance for any help you can give, we don’t need much, just a little support. This is out of our comfort zones, and we mostly have no idea what it will entail - but we DO know that these young children, and their families need help. Seeing the kids searching through the dump, with no shoes, no food, no water is too much to ignore. Nadezhda means ‘hope’
