Baby Hernandez, a miracle 15 years in the making.

“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” – Samuel 1:27

With Joanna and Elias, their faith is foremost in their lives and has been since before their romance began. They’ve had God at the center of their marriage and dreamed of the family they would build. While they were blessed early on with a pregnancy, they suffered a miscarriage. Even with an angel baby and struggling with infertility for 15 years, they never lost hope. Through God's grace and divine timing, a miracle boy, Judah was born.

This past February, their son Judah was brought to them through faith, love and compassion. Judah’s adoption was sudden but born out of hope for all those involved. The birth family is in contact with Joanna and Elias, and will remain in Judah’s life. All of the families involved have come together to love Judah and guide him alongside the Hernandez’s.

Everyone who knows this family is overjoyed for Joanna and Elias’s answered prayer that is Judah. However, the adoption process itself can be exhausting, lengthy and financially draining. Elias is back home in Georgia, working and maintaining their new home. Joanna is adjusting to motherhood and left navigating the uncertain world of adoption. She has suspended her job in Georgia to focus on Judah full-time and completing the adoption process in New Mexico. This has put a significant burden on them financially. Not only are they now a one income household, with another mouth to feed, they are still in the final stages of adoption process while being in two states.
