A MEAL TO HEAL-BLAZIN' M RANCH

Like so many other areas negatively impacted by COVID-19 closures and restrictions, our Verde Valley community is hurting. Seeing stores and restaurants closed, streets abandoned and hearing stories of our local residents struggling, in what should be a vibrant peak season for all of us, is surreal and painful. Our Blazin’ M Family has been strongly impacted but compelled to help in this unprecedented time of need.
On Saturday, April 18th, from 4:30PM to 6:30PM, we’ll be hosting “A MEAL TO HEAL” and will be preparing and offering up complimentary Take-Away family dinners for up to 4 people (BBQ Ribs, baked potatoes, beans, coleslaw, biscuits and dessert) for our local displaced restaurant and hospitality workers who have had hours cut or lost their jobs due to the pandemic. We’ll maximize our kitchen capacity to prepare as many meals as possible that day and when we reach that maximum, should we need to, we’ll hopefully, be able move those who we cannot accommodate, to a future date. Families who would like to participate are asked to call ahead and to reserve their meals and will be assigned a pick-up time and our volunteer staff will run packaged dinners to their vehicles. Detailed instructions will be shared on social media and other avenues to get the word out (follow Blazin’ M Ranch on Facebook for information and updates).
We've committed one day for now, Saturday, April 18th, but hope to continue the effort and an add additional date (April 25th), if possible (if donations warrant the cause) and extend it to others in need in our community! All unused donations will be given to the local Manzanita Outreach organization toward their bulk food distribution efforts.
Here’s how you can help in this effort:
-Make a donation to be used to offset the cost of the food and prep
(Regardless of donations we are committed to our first April 18th date and will add more dates if possible)
-Honor your favorite server by pledging an amount toward this cause in their name and/or workplace
-Share the information with those in need and encourage them to participate
We’ve been searching for a method and means to help our community as our normally busy ranch venue is eerily and painstakingly quiet right now. We want be able to help and hope our efforts will be successful and ongoing, and we’re asking for your participation. Thank you so much for any support you may be able to offer!

UPDATE (04/20/20): We have now added the April 25th date thanks to the many donations and surpassing our goal! Please pass the word to those who could benefit from the meal and encourage them to reserve.
