A long road to recovery for Travis Reeve

My name is Grant Thiele and I am raising money for my cousin Travis Reeve and his immediate family from Boissevain.

Travis was travelling to work early on August 23rd and was involved in a single vehicle motor vehicle accident near Deloraine. His car suffered unimaginable damage and Travis was rendered unconscious during the incident. After many hours a passing truck driver noticed his vehicle and called for help. Once rescued Travis was LifeFlighted to HSC in Winnipeg were he remains in ICU. Travis has extensive physical and neurological injuries that will take a very long time to recover from.

I am raising money to help Travis's mother, father, and brother secure a long term living arrangement and cover other expenses while in Winnipeg. Travis's recovery in Winnipeg is going to last a year or more.

Travis had recently started a job working for a Virden based oil company and was so excited about his new direction in life and the opportunity it afforded him. I have not seen him so optimistic about his future before. It breaks my heart that his journey is going to be delayed so drastically.

I found it very difficult setting a goal amount. I am going to set it at $10,000 but know deep down that the expenses will far exceed that amount and I may increase it as time goes on. All proceeds will go directly to Gordon and Cindy Reeve to help manage the expenses they will encounter. Any money raised that is not needed will be donated to a charity of the families choice.
