Hi, my name is Emma, and I'm fundraising on behalf of a family living in the Santa Monica area. They've been living in and out of their van for months.

The good news - they are now in transitional housing in the area.

The bad news - the van, which was never in good shape (bought secondhand on Craigslist) has started falling apart, and, according to a mechanic, is beyond repair. It requires a jump start to even get moving, and sometimes it won't start at all.

With four kids in local schools and the need for steady employment, this family requires a safe, reliable vehicle that can help them build a life here. This car is the missing piece. Please help us get there!
