A little justice for Susan and family

Dear friends,

Please consider joining me in prayer and provision over my friend Susan. Susan just concluded an over two year battle for custody of her teenage sons.

She could easily have let the situation play out. Instead she documented, hired a lawyer, and did everything in her power to protect her sons, three of whom still live at home. When they are around their abusive father, they become reliably stressed and physically sick .

-Susan has been to the ER several times in terrible pain and every time it's from her body being in a stress-filled crisis. This family is physically, mentally, and emotionally depleted and need our prayers.

-While we are grateful that Dad has limited contact, he refuses to pay his share of most of the the boys' expenses, and that is where court proceedings have stopped, and where we come in.

-Please pray for this family as they heal from domestic abuse and the strain of all the court proceedings (complete with an unsympathetic and non trauma-informed commissioner, regionally famous even among strangers I have spoken with).

-Please consider giving generously to recoup the lost wages, lost time, lost health for all, and a refinanced house that have all come as a result of these proceedings and lawyer fees. We are setting the GoFUND me at $100,000 which, while ambitious, only begins to scratch the surface of the true cost of almost two decades of trauma and two years of court.

-Please pray for ongoing provision as the boys consider college, jobs and life paths.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my friend Susan. She has faithfully stood in the gap for these boys. By the Grace of God, she and they are still with us. Susan is my hero. Let's bless her and her family generously.
