My mum and dad are going through a really hard time. They’re both dealing with serious health problems, and it’s taken a lot out of them. The little financial support they get isn’t enough to live on, so they’re using their savings just to get by.

On top of that, the area around their home has become a place for constant antisocial behaviour; fires, noise, and people causing trouble. It’s gotten to the point where they don’t feel safe or comfortable in their own house anymore.

What is hardest, is seeing how unhappy they’ve become. I honestly can’t remember the last time I heard them properly laugh. I want to give them something good. Something to look forward to and that reminds them there’s still kindness and joy out there.

When I was really struggling with my mental health about ten years ago, they took me to Disneyworld. They gave me a bit of magic at a time when I needed it more than anything. I’ve always dreamed of doing something like that for them one day. Now feels like the time to try.

Moving house isn’t an option, so instead I want to take them somewhere they can breathe, relax, and feel hopeful again, even if just for a little while.

I’ve been saving what I can, and I’ll continue to do so, but Disney is becoming more and more expensive, especially because the trip would need to be fully accessible for both of them. That means extra planning, extra time, and extra cost to make sure they can travel safely and comfortably.

If you can spare £10, or whatever you can manage, it would really help me give them a bit of hope and a chance to feel happy again.
