Restarting After the Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
This isn’t the kind of thing Meagan and I ever thought we’d be writing, but here we are. As many of you know, the Palisades Fire swept through our neighborhood, and while we are beyond grateful that our home is still standing, the damage left behind has made it impossible to live in for the time being.
The smoke and toxins have seeped into almost everything, and we’ve had to come to terms with the fact that most of our belongings—clothes, furniture, everyday essentials—will need to be replaced. More than that, it could be months before our home is safe for us to return.
We know that so many people have lost far more than us, and asking for help doesn’t come easily. But between temporary housing, cleanup costs, and starting fresh in so many ways, we’re realizing this is more than we can take on alone. If you’re able to contribute, we would be endlessly grateful. If not, even just sharing this means the world to us.
Through all of this, we’ve been reminded how lucky we are—not just in what was spared, but in the people who surround us with love and support. We’ll get through this, and when we do, we look forward to paying it forward.
With gratitude,
Mark & Meagan
