As they say, “an accident shelters in a small corner” (well… in Holland they do), and so it did at Camp Costume Camp this Nest.

While navigating the twisty lanes of Devon, our beloved CCC rental van picked up an unfortunate scratch. Sadly, Enterprise didn’t exactly embrace the Burner spirit and has hit us with a rather hefty £1,500 bill.

Not the kind of thing we wanted to line our decompression with but in true CCC style, we’re already dreaming up ways to turn this hiccup into something positive. We’ve got post-summer fundraisers in the works to ease us into winter, rekindle the summer magic, and rebuild our camp reserves with flair.

In the meantime, we’re reaching out to our wider community. If you’ve got a few pounds to spare, we’d be so grateful for any contribution to help ease this surprise cost. This is a gentle ask, not a cry for help, just a little nudge to share the load if you’re able.
