Help My Parents Rebuild After Losing Their Home in a Fire

Yesterday, tragedy struck when my parents’ home—the house filled with a lifetime of memories—was lost in a devastating fire. This is the home where my dad grew up, where my brothers and I spent our entire childhoods, and where countless memories were made. In a matter of hours, everything was gone.

By a miracle, a small chest of family photos was salvaged, but beyond that, they have been left with nothing. We are still in shock and trying to process the reality of this loss.

To make things even more heartbreaking, my dad has been working tirelessly since July to build a new home for my grandmother, pouring all of his time and effort into that project. Now, as he was giving so much of himself to ensure she had a safe place to live, he and my mom have lost their own.
