Our family home is at risk of foreclosure, and asking for help in this way is something we never expected to face. This home has been in our family for over 40 years and is far more than a physical structure—it is a symbol of family, unity, and belonging.

This house was built and sustained through the love, sacrifice, and hard work of our parents—both the patriarch and matriarch of our family. They poured their lives into creating a safe, stable place where their children could grow, where elders were respected, and where family always had a place to return to. Though they are no longer with us, their presence is deeply felt within these walls. This home stands as a living reminder of their strength, values, and unwavering commitment to family.

Within these rooms, generations have gathered to celebrate milestones, grieve losses, and support one another. For Black families especially, owning and maintaining property carries deep meaning. It represents perseverance in the face of systemic barriers and the ability to pass something lasting down through generations—a tangible legacy rooted in love, resilience, and pride.

The possibility of losing this home feels like losing a piece of our parents all over again. We are doing everything we can to prevent foreclosure, but we cannot do it alone. The funds raised will go directly toward protecting this home and preserving the legacy our parents worked so hard to build.
