A Home in Life’s Fire

Hi, my name is Jacee Simpson. The past few years of my life have been difficult. My father died of stage 4 lung cancer in 2019. Shortly after, my brothers and I were evicted from our mom's house and became homeless. We didn’t know what to do, but we did have one blessing. We own 3.7 acres of barren land in the country that was passed down in the family. I started clearing it and built a little cabin with my mom and brother, and we ran it off of two generators, which cost us $60 a night. Winters were still cold and summers so hot, but it was something when we had nothing…

Two weeks ago, my youngest brother was home alone while I was at work and mom was running errands. He decided to start a burn pile without raking the leaves, and it spread to the generators and to the house before the fire department could arrive. Now we are just lost and trying to get back what we had in some ways. I’m creating this GoFundMe for me and my family to hopefully get a much more stable home put out on our property and to get us out of this low we’ve been in for 5 years. Thank you. If anyone wants to know more, you may contact me.
