Hi,
I'm a single parent of a special needs child and a small business owner. I'm hoping for some help with a down payment so that I can buy a house to be able to have my shop in.
My daughter has Smith-Kingsmore Syndrome. It's a mutated chromosome in her brain that affects her cognitive abilities, and sometimes she can have seizures. You wouldn't know it by looking at her. She'll never be able to read or write, and most of what she says is "gibberish." She has the mentality of a toddler, basically. Physically, she functions "normally," although I cook for her and bathe her. She'll never be able to live on her own.
I'm a dog groomer (20+ years) with a small shop. My lease will be up shortly after my daughter "graduates" from school.
It's hard for most of us to be able to save money for things with the costs of living. It's pretty much impossible for me, with paying twice the bills for both home and shop, to save for anything.
If I can get enough money for a down payment to buy a house I can put my shop in, then my daughter can stay at home and be comfortable while I'll still be able to work and hopefully be able to save money for her future once I'm no longer around.
Thank you for considering my story and for any help you're willing to give. It means so much!
