a Home for Monica, Ashley & Sheila

Hi, my name is Antonia Lieb.

I am assisting my friend, Karen Morgia (who lives in Cape Town, South Africa and helps Monica and her family) to fundraise money to buy Monica and her kids an apartment where they can live safe and secure.

They are currently living in an informal settlement called Dunoon in Cape Town.

There circumstances in not good. Ashley is 15 and Sheila is 13 and they all live together in 1 room which is also their living room and kitchen.

They have no bathroom. They have to boil water every morning on a gas stove to wash them selves in a bucket.

They also have no toilet and have to use a bucket or walk far to a portable toilet outside that is their for all to use.

Ashley is a very good soccer player and sometimes has to walk 1h30 to get to soccer if he doesn't get an opportunity with someone to take him.

Sheila was born with a defect heart valve and has had operations before.

She is now needing another operation and cannot stay in that environment when she gets the operations as the chances for infection will be to high due to the unhygienic conditions.
