My name is Marie Lombardo. I have known Andrea for more than 19 years (her mother and I met at a grief group following the death of Andrea’s father).

Three years ago, when Andrea was 32 weeks pregnant with her fourth child, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

The diagnosis was a shock, and has been devastating for the entire family.

Andrea’s daughter, Marigold, was delivered four weeks early on May 1, 2023 in order for Andrea to begin her fight! Since then, Andrea has met every challenge with faith, hope, and determination.

Andrea’s cancer has spread to her liver, both ovaries, both lungs, spine, and peritoneum.

Andrea has had 58 chemo sessions, several surgeries, some radiation treatments, and cryoablation.

Andrea is currently receiving chemotherapy. Besides chemo, her most recent procedures were cryoablation on her liver and spine.

Last week, Andrea found out she has a fracture in her lumbar spine. (Most likely due to the fact that cancer has weakened the spine.) She’s currently waiting to find out what the treatment plan will be for this fracture.

Andrea’s son, Max, has a congenital heart condition and had his second open heart surgery in October of 2025.

I am raising funds so I can help Andrea and her 4 children secure housing.

Andrea and her children deserve a place to stay as a family, with privacy, dignity, and the ability to make special memories all their own.

The family also deserves a home where there is space for them to have all of their belongings with them . Currently, the majority of their belongings are in storage, and it would bring comfort and stability to have these items with them.

Presently , Andrea’s immune system is very weak and she is very susceptible to infections. Having her own home would help limit her exposure to others.

Your gift will help pay for a deposit, rent, and utilities. Because Andrea can not work, she does not meet income requirements of monthly income being 2.5 to 3 times the rent, she will be required to pay several months of rent in advance. Any funds left over will be used to pay for other necessities such as food, household expenses, and medical expenses,
