My name is Jaime Daniel Amaro Garcia. Since 2013, my family started to spread out for the political and social situation that is devastating Venezuela. Some of my family is now located in Bogota, Colombia. I have two brothers living there in hopes to better their lives and give their children a better opportunity as well. They each have a son and daughter (ages 1, 5, 7, and 10). I came to Costa Rica because I had to leave for a better opportunity and lifestyle. Since then, I’ve been trying to support my family in Venezuela and Colombia with my wife’s help as well.
I had more luck in Costa Rica working in the tourism industry, but unfortunately, I lost my job due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For my family, finding work has been nearly impossible to do in Venezuela and very difficult in Colombia, even though my brothers have legal work permits. They were fortunate enough to be able to work in a bike delivery service, but because of this pandemic, things quickly changed. One of my brothers lost his job. My other brother still has his job, but he now only receives around 2-3 deliveries in a day, if he's lucky, which is not enough to live off of. As each day goes by, job opportunities are becoming more and more scarce. My brothers were asked to leave their rental house by August 15th because they don't have enough money for rent. They do not have the money to keep their house or to find another place to go with their children. On top of all of that, my brothers in Colombia and I are not able to send any money to our family in Venezuela where things are even worse.
I'd like to ask for some help for my family. The funds would cover their accommodation for at least the next 6 months. This includes rent, basic services, and some food for my family in Colombia. It would also cover for groceries for my mother, sister and brother in Venezuela, as well as some medical exams for my mother. I understand that this situation has been hard for everyone around the world, but if you're able to help my family by donating or sharing, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Mi nombre es Jaime Daniel Amaro García. Desde el 2013, mi familia comenzó a separarse por la situación política y social que está devastando Venezuela. Algunos miembros de mi familia están viviendo en Colombia. Tengo 2 hermanos viviendo con la esperanza de tener mejores condiciones de vida y darle una mejor oportunidad a sus hijos también. Cada uno de ellos tienen una hija y un hijo (edades 1,5,7, y 10). Yo vine a Costa Rica porque tenía que irme para una mejor oportunidad y estilo de vida. Desde entonces he tratado de apoyar a mi familia en Venezuela y Colombia junto con mi esposa.
Yo tuve más suerte in Costa Rica trabajando en la industria del turismo, pero desafortunadamente, perdí mi empleo a causa de la pandemia Covid-19. Para mi familia ha sido casi imposible conseguir empleo tanto en Venezuela como en Colombia, a pesar de que mis hermanos tienen permisos de trabajo. Ellos fueron afortunados suficientemente de conseguir un empleo como repartidor de comida en bicicleta, pero por la situación de la pandemia, las cosas cambiaron drásticamente. Uno de mis hermanos perdió su empleo. Mi otro hermano aún conserva el suyo, pero ahora sólo recibe entre 2 a 3 pedidos en el día, si tiene suerte, lo cual no es suficiente para vivir. Como van los días, las oportunidades de empleos se están convirtiendo mucho más difíciles. Mis hermanos fueron comunicados de que tenían que abandonar su lugar de alquiler para el 15 de agosto porque no tienen dinero suficiente para pagar alquiler.
Ellos no tienen dinero para mantener la casa o no tienen otro sitio a donde irse con sus hijos(as). Por encima de todo eso mis hermanos y yo no estamos disponibles para enviarle dinero a mi familia en Venezuela dónde las cosas son un poco peor.
Me gustaría preguntar por un poco de ayuda para mi familia. El dinero recaudado cubriría los gastos al menos por los próximos 6 meses. Esto incluye renta, servicios básicos como agua, luz y gas para mi familia en Colombia. También cubriría los gastos de comida para mi mamá, hermano y hermana en Venezuela, también para algunos exámenes médicos que mi mamá requiere. Entiendo que toda esta situación ha sido difícil para todos alrededor del mundo, pero si estás en la posición de poder ayudar a mi familia donando o compartiendo, estaría eternamente agradecido.
