Hello, my name is Selena I am a Registered Nurse and I have had the absolute honour and privilege of working alongside Sarah in the Emergency Department.
I wish I wasn’t writing this under such heartbreaking circumstances.
Sarah is facing something no mother should ever have to experience. Tragically and unexpectedly, she has lost her beautiful 13 year old son.
There are simply no words that can adequately describe the devastation of losing a child. Sarah and her family are now facing a future they never imagined, trying to navigate the unimaginable pain of learning how to live in a world without their beautiful boy.
Right now, Sarah needs to be with her family and her children. She needs time to grieve, to support her other children, and to simply get through each day. The last thing she and her family should have to worry about is the financial pressure that comes with taking time away from work during such an unbearable time.
We all know how difficult the cost of living can be, but if we can come together as a community and take even a small piece of that burden away from Sarah, we can give her one less thing to worry about while she focuses on her family.
Sarah is one of those people who gives everything she has to others. She is kind, caring and compassionate, and has always been there to help those around her. She has spent so much of her life caring for others, and now it is our turn to care for her.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Sarah and her family to help support them through the days, weeks and months ahead as they navigate this devastating loss.
If you aren’t in a position to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Even sharing this page could help us reach someone who is able to make a difference.
Let’s surround Sarah and her family with the love, kindness and support they so desperately need right now.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us stand beside Sarah during the darkest time of her life❤️
