A Heartfelt Appeal for Solidarity and Support

I'm raising money for the family of my friend Ramzi (Ramsay AbuAbdou). He lives in Sweden but his family are mostly currently in Gaza City.

£6,340 is the amount they need initially for basic emergency camping and travelling to Al-Mawasi (the family is six adults and their kids). They are able to receive funds via his sister in Jordan, and this amount includes the steep 36% fee charged by brokers due to the cash shortage resulting from the blockade.

Dear friends in Britain and compassionate supporters of Gaza,

My name is Ihsan Suleiman, and I reach out to you on behalf of my six adult children and our precious grandchildren, all of us currently facing the harsh reality of life in West Gaza amidst this devastating war.

The past few months have been unimaginably painful for us. Our home, once a refuge filled with memories, has been reduced to rubble. We have not only lost our sanctuary but also so many beloved neighbors and friends. Each day is a precarious journey as we move in search of safety, navigating through fear, hunger, and uncertainty. The basics—food, water, medicine—are now luxuries that we must share among our extended family, struggling to make it through each day. Our grandchildren are growing up in conditions that no child should ever have to face—filled with anxiety, hunger, and deprived of the joys of school and play.

Your voices, raised in support of Gaza and advocating for justice, resonate deeply with us. It is with this sense of community that I humbly ask for your help: we are launching a GoFundMe campaign aimed at securing our family's survival and, when possible, facilitating our escape to safety. Your contributions will provide us with essential necessities like food, clean water, and urgent medical care—and ultimately, the chance to leave Gaza, find refuge, and begin anew.
