Hi, my name is Preston, and I’m currently in the Burn Center in Lubbock, Texas after being airlifted from New Mexico with severe burn injuries.

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. A few weeks ago, I was living simply, doing what I love — fixing computers, helping people with tech problems, and making an honest living. I’ve always worked for myself, doing everything I can to show up for others when they needed help.

But now, I’m the one who needs help. Badly.

My injuries are serious, and the recovery ahead of me is long. I can’t work. I can’t walk. I don’t have a financial safety net. I’m single, with no children or close family who can step in. I’m trying to heal while also wondering how I’ll afford food, rent, and medical care.

It’s humbling to ask, but I’m reaching out to anyone who might see this and feel moved to help. If you’ve ever had someone show up when you needed them most — that’s who I try to be. And right now, I need someone to show up for me.

Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly to keeping a roof over my head, food on the table, and covering the critical medical costs that come with a burn injury of this level. Just $10, $25, or whatever you’re comfortable giving can genuinely change the outcome of my recovery.

If you can't donate, please consider sharing this with someone who might be able to. Even kind words, prayers, or a moment of your time means more than you know.

I still believe in good people. I still believe in second chances. And I still believe I’ll get through this — with help.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.

With gratitude and hope,
Preston
