Hi everyone,
We are reaching out with breaking hearts to ask for your help for our dear friend and colleague, Myra, an ITU nurse who is living every family's worst nightmare.
Just a few weeks ago, Myra's husband and their 10-year-old daughter finally joined her in the UK to start a new life together. They had waited so long to be reunited as a family.
But only days after arriving, Loy suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at home. Myra fought for him with everything she had - as a wife, a mother, and a nurse - performing CPR until help has arrived. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where the team continued every possible intervention.
The other day, Myra was told the news no one should hear: Loy is brain dead and has been placed on palliative care. Their new beginning has turned into an unbearable loss.
In the middle of this tragedy, Loy continued to give the gift of life. He was an organ donor, and his organs were retrieved today so that others may have a second chance at life — a final act of generosity that reflected the kind, selfless person he was.
Loy was a gentle, caring, family - oriented man who devoted himself to their only child. He dreamed of building a better life for his wife and daughter here in the UK, a dream that ended far too soon.
And Myra has always been the one who shows up for everyone else - for her patients, for her friends, for her colleagues. Now it's our turn to show up for her.
No family should face something like this, especially just weeks after being reunited in a new country, still adjusting, still hopeful, still building their future.
On top of her grief, Myra now carries the responsibility of arranging Loy’s funeral services. As the family's sole breadwinner, this sudden financial burden is crushing.
We are asking for help.
All funds will go directly toward:
• Funeral arrangements
• Immediate support for Myra and their daughter as they navigate this devastating tragedy.
Any amount, truly, even the smallest donation, will make a real difference. And if you cannot donate, please share this page. Every share helps bring Myra one step closer to giving Loy the farewell he deserves.
Thank you for reading, caring, and standing with Myra and her daughter during this heart-breaking moment. ❤️
