If Not Now WHEN? MN-S President by Bonnie Marwood
Don protégé
Why I’m Running for President of the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan
My name is Bonnie Marwood, and I am a proud Métis matriarch with deep ties to the land and people of Saskatchewan. I am not running for power or prestige — I’m running because our Nation is in crisis, and we need bold, honest leadership rooted in community, not corruption.
This is personal.
I’ve seen too much silence. Too many decisions made behind closed doors. Too many citizens left out of the process. I’m stepping forward because I cannot stand by while our Nation is run like a private club, not a democratic government.
The Odds Are Stacked — But We Can Change That
- The current leadership has access to deep financial resources, government ties, and what I believe are questionable ethics. I don’t have corporate backers. What I have is you — the citizens who believe that we deserve better.
- With your support, I’ll take this campaign across Saskatchewan to hear directly from citizens — not to bribe them with bingo cards or trinkets, but to listen, respect, and represent their voices.
What Your Donation Will Support
Your contribution will help me:
• Travel to meet citizens across the province
• Create campaign materials to raise awareness
• Host town halls and community forums
• Build an outreach team focused on inclusion and dialogue
• Challenge the secrecy, financial irregularities, and political bullying that plague the current administration
What I Stand For
Accountability & Transparency
The current administration has stifled dissent, used NDAs to silence employees, and ignored financial irregularities. As President, I will end the culture of secrecy. Every dollar spent will be publicly accounted for.
Citizen-Led Governance
I will govern by listening. Just as I advocated for patients as a health advocate, I will advocate for citizens — guided by their lived realities, not my personal agenda.
Self-Determination
We must stop acting like we’re not capable of governing ourselves. We've educated doctors, lawyers, and leaders. It's time to trust our people to lead our Nation forward — without asking for permission.
Respect for Elders
Our Elders should not be tokenized for photo ops or storytelling exercises. They should be part of decision-making — especially when it comes to our Constitution, sovereignty, and land.
No More Puppet Leadership
We will no longer be led by those who say we’re "not ready" to govern ourselves. That mindset has held us back for far too long.
If Not Now, When?
We are not sheep. We are Métis — resilient, intelligent, and determined. Our ancestors fought for justice and dignity. I refuse to let their efforts be reduced to hollow ceremonies and empty slogans.
We cannot afford another four years of mismanagement, secrecy, and elitism. We must act now — for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren.
Please donate what you can. $20, $50, $100 — it all helps. I quit my job to take on this fight. I need your help!! I can't fight this tyranny without you. If you can’t contribute financially, please share this campaign and tell others why this election matters.
Together, we can reclaim our Nation and restore it to the people.
Maarsii for your support and faith.
