Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am raising funds for my stepdad, Len.

For almost a year now, Len has been raising his two grandchildren — my niece and nephew, Liam and Sadie — after their mother walked away from them. Without hesitation, Len stepped up and gave them the love, stability, and care they needed.

Before taking the kids in, Len and his wife had just moved into a retirement community, ready to enjoy their next chapter together. Sadly, because children aren’t allowed there, they were forced to leave. His wife is now living separately, while Len is doing everything he can to raise the kids on his own in his condo — thankfully, a place he hadn’t sold yet. This has left him with the heavy financial strain of paying two rents/mortgages, on top of caring for two young children.

Len has done his best to make ends meet, putting the kids’ needs before his own every single day. But recently, he was diagnosed with cancer. He’s already undergone surgery and is now healing, but it’s been incredibly hard on him both physically and financially.

I’m helping in every way I can — from caring for the kids to helping with bills — but I can only do so much. That’s why I created this fundraiser: to help ease Len’s financial burden so he can focus on healing and being there for Liam and Sadie.
