A gift of love & thanks
Donation protected
Our Laura & Bobo won’t get to spend Christmas celebrating with family, going to Church, eating & drinking far too much, playing games or watching tv. All the things most of us take for granted at this time of year.
Instead it will be a ‘normal day’ for them. Feeding, picking up poo, cleaning & caring for all of the doggies & cats in their care.
This is their norm, 7 days per week, 365 days of the year.
As it’s impossible to send little gifts to them, last year I asked you all if you would like to send Season Greetings to them with a small donation gift so that IF they get a few moments free, they could treat themselves to a takeaway when they get in after a long day or buy a new pair of slippers, a coffee on the cold morning on the way to the shelter or some chocolates as a treat. (unfortunately not a sherry or a beer as they are forever on standby for any emergency.)
I’m not sure if you all know but they too are volunteers. They don’t get a wage, they can only claim expenses via Sadies. They really are our guardian angels
