A gas freezer for the Physically Active Youth Kids - Namibia
Today, we (the Umbrella Initiatives team) invite you to team up with us to secure a gas/electric freezer for the Physically Active Youth (PAY).
PAY is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the enhancement of child and youth development and educational achievement. PAY operates in the marginalized community of Katutura, Windhoek (Namibia). It provides daily meals (35,500 meals/year) as a basic human need and promotes sports as an enabler and tool for empowering young people.
Umbrella Initiatives want to secure a gas/electric freezer for PAY because PAY suffers from constant power outages, and then, most of the food kept in electric freezers gets damaged, and the kids' access to nutritious meals can not be guaranteed. This dual (gas/electric) freezer runs on gas when the electricity is down. This way PAY will be able to secure the meals for the kids no matter external factors and no food will be wasted.
Umbrella Initiatives is a local Namibian NGO that supports other NGOs so they can strive. All the funds will be used to buy the gas/electric freezer (circa 380 euros), transport it to the PAY premises (circa 50 euros), and cover the administration fees (circa 20) euros).
Thank you for helping us on our journey to help others! Together we can do a lot for others!
NOTE: in the picture you can see the kids at PAY enjoying their daily meal.
