WHAT’S HAPPENING
Last year we raised $408,875 for diverse outdoor + environmental nonprofits.
This year we want to raise $500,000 for 6 nonprofits & initiatives to make the outdoors/environmental fields a more equitable place.
HOW IT WORKS
- You DONATE now, whatever you can. $5 $25 $100 $1000 Anything helps!
- You GET STICKERS! We’ll send you a set of Pattie stickers as a thank you.
- We see how much we can raise TOGETHER from now until Saturday, December 7th.
WE NEED YOUR ADDRESS!
You will receive three emails after you make your donation:
1) a payment receipt
2) a tax deductible donation receipt
3) an email titled "A Thank You Note from Pattie" - please open and click on the link to give us your mailing address so we can send you stickers!
THE LINE UP
Here are the non-profits we’re fundraising for! Donations raised will be divided and transferred from GoFundMe.org to the following six organizations and projects:
1. EASTERN SIERRA CONSERVATION CORP provides opportunities for young adults from BIPOC, Queer and economically disadvantaged communities to experience wilderness and the outdoors by providing transformational experiences through trail and conservation work. http://www.easternsierracc.org/ IG @easternsierracc
2. THE CHILDREN'S HOME PROJECT brings people and resources together to support and change the lives of children in Honduras including outdoor programming. https://www.tchproject.org/ @tchproject
3. BRAVE TRAILS is a leadership summer camp by LGBTQ+ people for LGBTQ+ youth. https://www.bravetrails.org/ @bravetrails
4. QUEER OUTDOOR EXPEDITION SCHOLARSHIPS supports fully scholarshipped backcountry expeditions for queer people with a focus on those from marginalized socio-economic backgrounds. This program was initiated by yours truly, Pattie Gonia, with the support of Eastern Sierra Conservation Corp & many of our brand partners.
5. OUTDOORIST OATH educates people on how they can advocate for planet, inclusion and adventure through workshops and community offerings. https://www.outdooristoath.org/ @outdooristoath
6. INTERSECTIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL FILM PROJECT funds a film about an area of the climate crisis/solutions with indigenous voices, queer artists and Pattie Gonia herself. This project has and will continue to hire BIPOC + Queer creatives to bring the film to life. @pattiegonia
