Help Aaliyah & Mia after loss of 3 family members

Hi, I'm Akilah, and I'm fundraising for my friend, Aaliyah, who is a remarkable person.

Aaliyah is a model and actress, but also a caregiver and friend. In the past year Aaliyah has had to overcome several devastating events, starting with the loss of their mother to cancer. They had been caregiving for a long time, and while the loss was not surprising, it was especially hard as they were so so close.

Saddled with the responsibility of paying for the memorial services, Aaliyah still managed to make it out here in LA. Unfortunately and very suddenly, her father passed away this year. Those funeral costs compounded with the current strikes prolonged by the AMPTP have put them in a tight spot.

Aaliyah is young and so gifted. An artist, frankly. And while there is no good time to lose any loved ones, it's especially difficult when you're in your twenties and the industry you work in shuts down.

I know we are all going through a tough time, but I love this sweet person and would hate to see them fall through the cracks because of the high rents at a time when affording it is harder and harder.
