A Fresh Start for Mashe & Her Children
Donation protected
My name is Mashe, and I’m a mother of five—Mariah (12), Malayah (10), Majesty (5), Makai (3), and Maddox (8 months). After falling on hard times while pregnant with my youngest, my children and I were evicted and spent three months living in a shelter. During that time, my newborn son needed surgery, and we lost nearly everything we owned. When our time at the shelter ended, we were blessed to finally receive a housing voucher after waiting ten years.
We’ve found a private landlord willing to give us a chance, even with our eviction history, and accept the voucher. The only thing holding us back from moving in is the deposit, which the housing authority doesn’t cover. We also need help with basic furniture and essentials, as we only have a few clothes and shoes left from before the eviction.
Having a safe and stable home would mean everything to us. It would give my children the security they need and allow us to start rebuilding our lives. Any support will help us take this important step toward a fresh start and a brighter future.
