My name is Dawn, mother of Lilly and grandmother to Jullian..

My daughter Lilly has always been such a beautiful person inside and out! Unfortunately, she has made bad decisions along the way, as we all do!

A few years back, we almost lost her. Her heart gave out, she had a blood infection, and so much more! Long story short, she got well enough to come home. She stayed clean for days and then disappeared! Almost losing your child at any age is heartbreaking! Watching your child struggle with drugs is just as hard!

We got the call from Lilly that she was pregnant. She was so happy and excited! She talked about getting off drugs and being a good mom. But the struggle was real! But she did try!

The night of January 13th, we got a call that Lilly was on the ventilator. She had an emergency c-section. They said she was stable and that was it! No news on the baby. We called the NICU; they could not give us any information, which I understood. I begged and pleaded with the nurse, "If you see a baby with a mother named Lilly, please give him a kiss on his forehead." The nurse then whispered, "He is here," so I knew he was alive. Right then, I felt such relief!!

I called off work and went down the next day! Seeing my daughter was so heartbreaking, but I never left her side! I was even there when she woke up! She did sign a paper so my husband and I could call and see the baby!

Lilly is so heartbroken that she even put her baby through this, very regretful. She wants to be a good mom; she loves Jullian with all that she has. I now see a different light in her eyes! She doesn’t want to go back to the people she was staying with; she doesn’t want to go back to that town; she doesn’t even want the baby to know who his dad is! She wants to start programs and come home!!

I’m a single paycheck household because my husband had congestive heart failure and COPD. We also currently have custody of my three grandsons while raising my eight-year-old son with autism. We live 2 hours away, so the gas getting there is rough, but we are doing it! So Lilly is literally starting from scratch; she has no clothes, no nothing! We are trying to get a car seat, clothes, and everything that the baby needs. We are currently cleaning up our spare bedroom, which has no heat, so we need to get a heater for that room so that way they could be comfortable.

So we’re reaching out asking for a little help to give this mommy a chance to be the best person she could be for herself and the baby. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you very much!!

Oh, I almost forgot, mom is doing much better, staying focused! Baby just got off the ventilator and is doing good too!!

Baby boy is named Jullian, born 1-13-26, 4.2 pounds, 17 inches long, born at 33 weeks!
