Dear Sunnyside Community,

We’re reaching out with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a fellow school family. One of our own, a single parent and their child, has been experiencing homelessness for nearly a year. Despite the hardships, they’ve shown incredible resilience, staying in a shelter while continuing to support their child’s education.

We’re happy to share that the parent has just secured a job and is now taking brave first steps toward building a stable future. They’re currently looking for a safe and affordable one-bedroom home near the school, so their child can remain in a familiar, nurturing environment and stay connected to the community they love.

We’re raising funds to help them with the initial costs of settling in, lease deposit, basic furnishings like a bed, table, kitchen essentials, and other items that help turn a space into a home.

Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward helping this family begin a new chapter with dignity and hope. Let’s come together and show them the strength and compassion of our Sunnyside community.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

With gratitude,

Isabella (1st grader’s mom)
